Grecian Goal, the fun way to support City is looking for new pledgers ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Grecian Goal has raised well in excess of £24k for club projects over the past nine years, with over 40 pledgers who contribute funds and have some fun doing it.
Pledgers set their own terms and conditions, ranging from the sensible to the eccentric - some past examples of pledges include £1 per goal scored by City, and £10 if a seagull lands on the pitch whilst the game is in progress.
So far in 2019, Grecian Goal has donated £500 towards to first-team replacement GPS vests, purchased badges for the ground tours and are sourcing a coffee machine for the Centre Spot. They have also made a donation so the Memorial Garden flower bed wall can be rendered.
Grecian Goal was originally the brainchild of former Stadium Manager Dacre Holloway, as a way of raising money for the club. His first Grecian Goal funded project was to drain the then very boggy, training pitch at the Cliff Hill training Ground.
It seemed a shame to let such a practical fundraiser cease after Dacre's untimely death, and it was revived in 2009 by Supporters' Trust trustee Elaine Davis.

Elaine Davis, Grecian Goal coordinator said: “Grecian Goal is a great way to have a bit of fun whilst supporting your club. It is great to be able to support some smaller but important club projects and knowing that we have made a difference.
