September’s Foundation BIG prize winner was John Binding, who, in his own words, felt 'very proud' as he walked onto the pitch at half time in our recent match against Grimsby Town.
John has been an ardent City supporter for more than 50 years now. His favourite players over the years have included Tony Kellow who he describes as "a great goalscorer and superb character", and Lammie Robertson who "although only with us for a short time, he entertained us brilliantly”.
John's favourite matches include the away to Newcastle United in the 1981 FA Cup, enjoying the whole experience including hostile Geordies, and City’s first trip to Wembley: “although the result was disappointing the whole day was fantastic”.
John too is very supportive of the Trust model of ownership enjoyed by the club and he loves the fact that we currently have a production line of young talent coming through from the Academy. John urges everyone to become not only a Trust member but also a Foundation member too!
The money will be spent on a family holiday and his mother-in-law’s new mobility scooter.
About the Exeter City Foundation
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just ÂŁ10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
