The Supporters' Trust have provided the following update on the progress of STARS, a campaign to support the academy's rising stars.
The STARS campaign was launched at City's match against Mansfield Town and thanks to your support we've made a really positive start.
The running total on September 7 is already £2220, which is made up of one off donations and Trust subscription increases, pledged for the season.
All donors will be entered into regular prize draws and we already have our first winners who are Gary Woollacott, Adrian Shand and Adrian Beard.
Gary Woollacott was the very first STARS draw winner, and has chosen to take his prize of hospitality at City's match against Port Vale on Tuesday, September 17.
Here's why Gary is supporting STARS:
"Not every Club has the means to sign the top players at this level so it is important that we nurture,
develop and coach our young players to wear the City shirt with pride and maybe one day play in the first team.
"As a Trust run club it's even more important that we can do this effectively within our budget constraints. Our Academy graduates will benefit from their development at Exeter City and the club will benefit from their performances and perhaps a future transfer fee.
"I would encourage all fans to donate, even a small amount, to the Exeter City FC Academy, it is an investment in our future. Being a Trust run club means that sometimes we, the fans, have to be the ones to make a difference, especially with projects like this. It's what makes our club special."
Our second winner, Adrian Shand has won tickets for City's match against Leyton Orient.
Here's why he is supporting STARS:
"For me it's one of the most significant benefits of the Trust, you know where your donations are going. The STARS campaign is for the Academy, we've had plenty of exciting youngsters coming through and here's to plenty more.
What great news - as well as contributing I've won a prize!"
Adrian Beard will be enjoying Supporters' Trust Suite hospitality at City's match against Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Here is why Adrian supporting STARS:
"I donated to STARS for 2 main reasons. Firstly I love watching City's young home grown players who belong to the community and then following their development if they move on.
"I also love the idea that Exeter City has a national reputation as a club with an Academy which is based on human decency and integrity."
