Exeter City striker Alex Fisher says the players can't wait to play in-front of fans at St James Park again as the Grecians face Northampton Town in the Papa John's Trophy on Tuesday night.
"First and foremost it will be great to welcome the fans back in, they have been sorely missed in the time they've not been around." said Alex.
The Grecians suffered heartbreak at Wembley the last time the two sides met in last years League Two play-off final, falling to a 4-0 defeat against the Cobblers.
"Northampton don't really need much introduction, said Alex. "We are certainly looking to progress in the tournament.
"I think the result will be in the back of some of our minds for sure. There is part of us that see it as all in the past. We want to go out and do a professional job on the day.
Last season City made it to the semi-finals of the competition, narrowly losing out to Portsmouth and Alex feels that City can progress again this season.
"I don't think you need too much motivation for this one. We would like to progress to the next round."
