Dean Moxey says he and the players are looking forward to bouncing back from last weekend’s disappointment when they face Stevenage on Saturday.
The Grecians lost to league leaders Swindon Town to fall from second to fourth in the table, but Dean says he and the players are ready for the promotion battle ahead.
“It is what we wanted at the start of the season and we are in a good space at the minute,” he said. “It was disappointing at the weekend to drop out of the top three, but we have got some games coming up that we feel we can win and on Saturday we want to get back in there.”
“I have had a couple of promotions and it is one of those things when you are in it you have got to look forward to it,” added Dean.
“And we are there, we are ready to go up and I am sure everyone will say the same thing, but we want to be in that top three and we still want to win the league.”
City will face similar problems to Swindon, when they face a Stevenage side desperate for points in their relegation battle, as the conditions are likely to be windy just like last Saturday.
“We know it is going to be a tough game against a Graham Westley team, but we want the three points and we are going to try and go out and get them,” said
“It was tough conditions last Saturday. I think everyone saw that even if they watched it on TV. It was very tough conditions first half and they went in at the break two goals to one up. It was tough but we have just got to play the conditions and hopefully do better than we did at Swindon.”
