David Henley was the lucky winner in the February draw for the Exeter City Foundation’s BIG £1,000 prize.
He can beseen in the picture above receiving his prize during City's recent match against Stevenage alongside operations manager Andy Gillard.
David was surprised and pleased with his win, which has come at a good time of year just after Christmas, he will be taking his partner and her daughter away for a short break, with the remainder going towards a new car.
David has been a City supporter many years, being a regular supporter since the 1970s, with interest waning during the bad days of late 90s and early 2000s, but he started watching regularly from the years in the Football Conference.
His best match memories are that win against Cambridge in the play-off final and when City thrashed Sheffield Wednesday 5-1 at the Park. Favourite players over the years have been Rob Edwards for 'that goal' against Cambridge that earned the Grecians a place back in the football league and from the current squad, Archie Collins.
About the Exeter City Foundation
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, particularly for those who are regular supporters of the club. For just £10 per month, members are entitled to a range of prizes and, if a season ticket holder, the additional benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
The City Foundation draw runs throughout the year, and overall there are sixty-seven prizes – of which sixty-four are cash prizes – all of which means that members have a GREAT chance of winning, all winners are Exeter City supporters and net proceeds go to good causes at the club.
