💬 Archie Collins: “I hope that we can come out on top and claim all three points.”

Archie Collins says that City have to take each game as it comes if they want to be successful come the end of the season, as they travel to face Grimsby Town on Saturday.

The Grecians make the journey to Blundell Park as they look to consolidate their hopes for Sky Bet League Two promotion.

Grimsby, who are currently 17th in the table, have recently appointed manager Ian Holloway. Since then and the turn of the year, they have seen a turn in fortunes; winning two of their last three, drawing the other one.

While the City midfielder recognises that this weekend will be a test, he says that the priority is to focus on themselves.

Archie said; “Ian Holloway is obviously a very good manager, but we’re on a good run at the moment and got a bit of confidence for the game.

“If we do the right things and stick to our game plan then it will be a good test for us. We’re looking forward to going up there and hopefully getting all the points.”

A lot has been spoken about City’s impressive home form this season, but the sides recent away from has been just as good. The Grecians go into this weekend’s fixture having won three out of the last four, drawing the other one, so it plans to be a good battle between two sides in good recent form.

The City midfielder, however, says that the team are only focussing on themselves and the next game at hand, rather than how the opposition are performing.

“We’ve just got to take each game as it comes”, says Archie. “Every game is so different in this league and it is so tough with the pitches at the moment.

“If we just do what we know we are good at, then I’m sure it will be a good game to watch. I hope that we can come out on top and claim all three points.”
