The winner of June's BIG Foundation prize of £1,000 was Trevor Wood, membership no. 414.
Trevor was delighted with his win, and although he doesn’t have specific spending plans during our current period of uncertainty, the money will go towards repairs and maintenance on his flat, and possibly a visit to Cornwall later in the summer.
Trevor has been following Exeter for many years. He vividly remembers his first match, alongside his brother, being taken in the 1960s by his father to watch City play Torquay in the Cup in front of 15,000 people.
The match was a 0-0 draw, but Trevor was hooked. His best memories are of the Cup matches, including a 3-1 win against Sheffield Wednesday and the amazing cup run that ended with City losing with pride away against Tottenham Hotspur.
He also witnessed both matches against the famous Newcastle United, with the Grecians hammering the top-flighters 4-0 in the replay.
Trevor's favourite players over the years have included defenders Arnold Mitchel and Nicky Marker, goalscorers Alan Banks and Tony Kellow, more recently Trevor has appreciated the industry of Steve Tully and the golden boot of Jayden Stockley.
