City boss Matt Taylor has commended his side's performance after a stunning 6-1 win over Colchester United.
"The scoreline reflects what that performance was," he said after Ryan Bowman's hat trick contributed to the Grecians' first six goal haul in 27 years.
"We could have been more goals ahead at half time. We were excellent from start to finish, but goals give you confidence. Scoring early in the second half and scoring again and again just keeps breeding the confidence.
"This was reaction to ourselves [from Saturday] and how we want to play."
