Exeter City defender Rory McArdle says the Grecians are looking to start a new unbeaten run having seen their unbeaten run come to an end on Saturday.
City fell to a 2-1 defeat to Oldham at St James Park, the first defeat in thirteen matches in all competitions.
"We are looking forward now and looking to start a new run." said Rory ahead of Tuesday night's tough test against Colchester.
"I think it will be similar (to previous matches). They will have the same sort of expectations as they had last season. It will be another tough game and we will have to make sure that everybody is tuned in and focused on their individual jobs.
"I'm sure they will have spoken about how their season ended last year so have got to expect that. I'm sure that will be in the back of a few of their players minds so that is something else we have to be ready for and make sure we start the game well."
