Exeter City have another long trip on their hands this bank holiday weekend as they travel to North Yorkshire to take on Harrogate Town at the EnviroVent Stadium.
The Sulphurites, in only their second season as an EFL club, have had a blistering start to the season, winning all three of their matches so far all in the midst of a Covid outbreak that saw the club call off three of their games and forfeit their place in the Carabao Cup. On Tuesday night they were 2-0 victors away at Leyton Orient and sit third in the table - joining Forest Green Rovers as the only two sides in the whole EFL with a 100% league record.
The Grecians drew 1-1 with Chelsea under-21s in the Papa John's Trophy on Tuesday night, but in their last league match blew away Bristol Rovers with four goals inside the opening 24 minutes in an eventual 4-1 win - their first of the season.
Matt Taylor's Thoughts
"They [Harrogate] played their first game of the season and then had the break because of Covid, and I think they were in a similar sort of position to us a few weeks back," he said.
"They used that time wisely and won both matches since then. They recruited well in the offseason and added a little quality to their side.
"All indications are that they are a side who will be competing in the top half this season."

While Starbeck Lane was the original ground of Harrogate AFC, Wetherby Road has always been the home to Harrogate Town. The EnviroVent Stadium (sponsorship) has seen some significant redevelopments to prove Harrogate’s young professional status.
In 2013 two new stands were erected and the pitch was renovated into an artificial surface to ensure the club would be able to host games over the damning winter months. Upon promotion to the Football League, regulations meant Harrogate had to remove the 3G pitch which led to Town starting the last season at Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium.
In addition to this, a new Main Stand was constructed with close to 1,000 seats, boosting the capacity of the stadium to 5,000. This will be the first time Exeter City fans will be able to travel to Wetherby Road since Harrogate’s promotion.
