Cheick Diabate has highlighted his enjoyment during his loan spell at Truro City but is back and raring to go for the Grecians.
Speaking on his return to St James Park the young Centre-back reveals how his game has improved whilst playing for the Cornish side:
"My first contact with the ball, so like heading and interceptions improved a lot. It's all about getting match practice playing week-in-week-out agaisnt players bigger and more experienced than you. It helped me get a consistency in my game.
"Getting experience in men's football is always important as a young player. It's been a really useful loan for me."
When asked about how he's looking to bring that consistency back into his game here at Exeter the 19-year-old said:
"I'm confident even though it's a completely different level. I feel like I'm ready. I wouldn't say I'm nervous, I'm more excited. The lads have been great. People like Alex Hartridge was happy to give me advice as he's been there and done it!"
