Exeter City manager Matt Taylor was pleased with his side's performance as they recorded a 1-0 away win at Stevenage on Tuesday night.
Rory McArdle's first half goal was enough to secure City's third away league win of the season, but it was marred by a potentially serious injury to the same man late on.
"That was a really good win for us and I thought we played pretty well," Taylor said.
"Fair play to Stevenage, they made it difficult but we dealt well with it all game. We scored a really good goal from a set piece and perhaps should have gone further ahead.
"It certainly wasn't a comfortable 1-0 though."
Providing an update on McArdle, Taylor said: "He's gone to hospital straight away with what looks like a potentially serious injury. He's got a really serious gash, it's a nasty injury, the lads stud has caught him in a nasty place so we hope he is ok."
