📝 Match Preview: Carlisle (A)

Exeter City make their longest trip of the season as they travel to Carlisle United this Saturday at Brunton Park.

The Grecians will make the mammoth journey looking to get back to winning ways after disappointment at home to Morecambe on Tuesday night and know a win would put them back in the play-off mix.

Carlisle have been out of action for almost a month after a combination of match postponements and a Covid outbreak. They should have faced Newport County on Tuesday evening but the pitch in South Wales was deemed unplayable.

Manager's Thoughts

"The players will be looking to put Tuesday behind them and put in a much stronger performance.

"We haven't been able to watch Carlisle as they haven't played in a while, but we know they won't have changed their style.

"They consistently put teams under pressure and were deservedly top of the table. They only aren't top because they didn't play, so we're acting as if we're playing top of the league.
