This month’s BIG Exeter City Foundation winner is Gary Parker - seen the middle of our photo, very timely as Gary managed to watch the England match last weekend, shame about the result!
Gary has supported the Grecians since moving to Exeter in 1983. Because of work Gary is moving away from Exeter in September but he is still keeping a season ticket on the Big Bank as a way of supporting the Club - thanks Gary!
Gary does a lot of long distance cycling for Charity so will put his winnings towards an indoor training bike.
Summarising his support for City over the best part of 40 years, Gary said as follows:
"My favourite game will be a toss up between thrashing a Lincoln City 0-5 away as we celebrated the Division 3 title in 1990 or the Carlisle semi-final at home a couple of years ago when it was utter limbs on the Bank as Jack Stacey scored the winner.
"I can’t honestly say I enjoyed the Cambridge play-off final although obviously it was a defining game in the Club’s recent history. As for favourite players, I loved watching Steve Neville going past full backs in his pomp. So I’ll go with him, although Ollie Watkins was a bit special.”
