Matt Taylor has given his reaction after City were given their fixtures for the 2021/22 Sky Bet League Two season. The Grecians begin their campaign with a home match against Bradford City.
"It's a tough game to start. They're a big club and there's lot of expectation on them to do well next season," Matt said of the opening day game.
"We're going to go into the game to show we can try and challenge."
That match triggers a run of three tough home matches, with Bristol Rovers and Forest Green Rovers the next two opponents to SJP.
"You really hope there is away fans for these games, and that our fans are here in full capacity. You can just imagine those fixtures with a full house!"
City face Swindon on Boxing Day, before trips to Forest Green Rovers and Sutton United over the festive period, and Matt is relishing those matches.
"They are a club coming down from League One and a team who pipped up to promotion a couple of years ago. We always have good matches with Swindon. It'll be great to see Pierce Sweeney again too."
