City boss Matt Taylor felt his side lacked quality as they were held to a goalless draw by Walsall at SJP.
Rory McArdle had a goal ruled out for offside in the second half but in truth, City were only reduced to minimal chances against a Walsall side who failed to register an effort on target.
"We had a few good half opportunities tonight but we were just a bit short of quality.
"I was pleased with effort and endeavour of the lads though. That game was difficult for both teams to create chances but we should've worked the goalkeeper more.
"We moved the ball well tonight but it was very much an 'almost' night."
