Ahead of this weekend's Emirates FA Cup trip to Bradford City, we're taking a walk down memory lane to recall some of City's previous first round victories.
The Grecians have made it to round two a total of four times since 2015, ending a run of six years without a first round victory. We start with that 2015 win as Paul Tisdale's side travelled to Oxfordshire to take on Southern League side Didcot Town.
Didcot Town 0 Exeter City 3 | 08/11/15
Following a goalless first half at Loop Meadow, City showed the gulf in league class in the second period with Clinton Morrison, Tom Nichols and Alex Nicholls all finding the back of the net in front of a record crowd of 2,707.
Exeter City 3 Heybridge Swifts 1 | 05/11/17
There was another non-league test for the Grecians as Isthmian League side Heybridge Swifts, from Essex, visited the Park. Jayden Stockley was the man on target twice in the second half, before Sam Bantick pulled one back for the non-leaguers. Liam McAlinden secured passage to the second round late on.
Exeter City 1 Cambridge United 0 | 19/11/19 | Replay
Following a 1-1 draw away from home, the replay at SJP was won by Alex Fisher's second half strike to set up a second round tie with Hartlepool United.
Exeter City 2 AFC Fylde 1 | 07/11/20
Despite and early scare against the National League North leaders at the time, Matt Jay and Alex Hartridge were on hand to secure a round two match against Gillingham, with all the goals coming in the first half.
