Captain Matt Jay has given his assessment after City drew 2-2 away to Stevenage on Saturday afternoon.
MJ was on the scoresheet with a brilliant header, but the Grecians were pegged back twice as they drew their seventh league match this season.
"We had some really good opportunities today but we just let them back into the game," MJ said.
"It's been too many draws for us as of late. We're very disappointed, and it felt like a loss in the changing room.
"We're very very close to being a very good team and Matt said in the changing room we have a lot of work to do."
