📝Match Preview: 🆚 Newport County (H)

The Grecians are back in action at St James Park this weekend when Newport County make the short trip from South Wales.

After City drew 2-2 at Stevenage last weekend Matt Taylor's side are nine unbeaten but are hoping to turn their draws into wins as they keep i touch with the automatic places in League Two.

Managerless County, who are currently under the guidance of Wayne Hatswell, were in action against Arsenal u21 in the Papa John's Trophy on Tuesday, losing 4-3, and drew 0-0 with Bradford last weekend.

Matt Taylor's Thoughts

"It's always a closely contested fixture," he said.

"Wayne (Hatswell) has been there a long time so I don't think too much will change for them this weekend. He has done a great job in the interim.

"But as always we will focus on ourselves. It's as close as we're going to get to a local game really, so I know our fans will be in good voice."
