Matt Taylor gave an honest assessment of his side, as City fell to defeat against Tranmere Rovers.
Speaking after the game the manager said:
"There didn't seem to be much in the game. I thought we were second best too often. That can happen when you come to Tranmere. Uncharacteristacally there were too many forced balls, too many errors. I've got to look at my team from an energy point of view but I thought it was the right thing to do before the game.
"You've got to give credit to Tranmere. They gave us a game with some real hussle and bussle and came out on top in those moments.
"We started well, we were positive. Their strikers put our centre-halves about and, though we could have dealt better with the cut back but goals happen.
"There were brief moments we were playing cleaner football we looked like we could hurt the opposition and threaten their goal but it didn't happen enough today.
