Jack Sparkes says that despite defeat on Saturday, the Grecians go into Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie at Gillingham in a buoyant mood.
"They are a good side and they're strong and that's what we expect tomorrow. But we go into the game full of confidence," he said.
"It was disappointing on Saturday as we just didn't have what we needed in the final third - we didn't create enough chances, but we have the opportunity to put that right.
"We focus on tomorrow's game as that is what is in front of us - we'll only think about the next round if and when we're in it." - Jack Sparkes
