Exeter City Football Club has welcomed another prestigious national brand as sponsor.
The John Lewis Partnership will be sponsoring the Supporters’ Trust Suite for the 2022-23 season.
And partners from the John Lewis store in Sidwell Street recently gave up their time to decorate the suite.
Carrie Gillam, chief commercial officer at Exeter City Football Club, said the club was pleased to begin a new association with the organisation.
She said: "It’s been fantastic to work with the John Lewis Partnership, as the UK’s largest employee-owned business, if feels particularly appropriate that they work with Exeter City - a supporter-owned club.”
The club plans to hold John Lewis and Waitrose events in the newly decorated suite, as well as its normal matchday entertainment and activity. Likely future events include fashion evenings, makeup demonstrations and foodie events. There are also plans for Exeter City FC kit and merchandise to be sold at the John Lewis store.
Adam Atkins, Brand Experience Manager from John Lewis Exeter, said: "We are all really excited to be a part of this new partnership with Exeter City Football Club, the team have been really supportive and we are looking forward to all the opportunities coming up in the season ahead."
