Matt Taylor has given his assessment as the Grecians recorded a 7-0 win at Cheltenham in what was a record breaking evening in the Carabao Cup.
Records tumbled at the Completely Suzuki Stadium as City scored seven goals away from home for the very first time in the history of the club, recorded a biggest ever League Cup win, a biggest win since 1935 in all competitions, as well as breaking the club's record for most goals after three games of a season with the tally at 12, and Matt was immensely proud of his players.
"Those are some great stats, and a win is a win, and it's come in convincing style," he said.
"We started so so well and our intent was brilliant, our box entries were superb and the ball was flying across the goal - either into the goal or across it. And we had to have the bodies in the right place.
"I'm as pleased with the second half as I am with the first, as we made the changes and still didn't look disjointed."
