Two of League One's newly promoted side battle it out at St James Park this weekend as Port Vale are the visitors, just 92 days after their last visit to the same venue.
The Valiants were 1-0 winners of the final day of last season, securing a place in the play-offs which they then went on to win, beating Mansfield 3-0 at Wembley. They began life in the third tier with a 2-1 win over Fleetwood town last weekend as they scored two first half goals in as many minutes.
The Grecians were of course on the road at Lincoln, where Sam Nombe's goal helped Matt Taylor's side secure their first League One point.
Matt Taylor's Thoughts
"Port Vale have only made five or six signings so their outfield players haven't changed too much," he said.
"We don't expect too many changes in their style or shape but you can never predict too much - they might make more signings before Saturday or pick up injuries. But we have to look the same way we did particularly in the first half last weekend.
"We're at home, for a number of seasons our home form has given us strength for a number of seasons and we're very hard to beat at home - that's how we want to start the game at the weekend."
