Goalkeeper Jamal Blackman is raring to go as City take on Sheffield Wednesday at St James Park this Saturday.
Despite six matches without a clean sheet, Jamal has been praised by the manager for his performances and he has been pleased with how he is fitting in to this season's City squad.
"Going into games you always want to keep a clean sheet but it's not always like that. As a team we know we want to keep getting better and better," he said.
"I've enjoyed working with Kevin Miller recently and he is so experienced. We're getting on well and it is great to get his insight into things.
"Tomorrow we're at home and we have to put our stamp on the game, say it's our pitch and not worry about what the other team try to do - it's about what we do."
