The latest winners in our We Win You Win competition are Chudleigh-based Teign Village Football Club.
They are the 23rd sports club in the south west to win in the competition, which sees Exeter City shirt sponsor Carpetright donating £500 every time we win a match.
Teign Village FC, which was founded 102 years ago, will use the funds to improve its Valley Park ground.
Ross Trant, manager of Teign Village, said: “Valley Park could really do with some much-needed TLC this winter! Our showers need re-tiling, the light fittings need replacing and we'd like to spruce up the home dressing room and modernise it for our players.
"In order to get anything done we usually have to fundraise via our own playing squad or ask for freebies from locals who support the team. This does help us to buy items such as new balls, but going to the same well too often is always a hard ask. An injection of £500 to help us undertake this work would be amazing, it would pay for the materials we really need, and help us take a step forward with our facility.”
