Matt Taylor has given his thoughts as Cheick Diabate's 93rd minute header secured a crucial three points against Leyton Orient.
The young centre half's header, deep into injury time meant the Grecians unbeaten run stretched to six matches, despite a sluggish performance against the London side.
"In the context of the match, Orient set themselves up in a certain way to stifle our style of play," Matt said.
"Six weeks, possibly six months ago, we'd have lost that game, but there are different ways to win football matches and that felt bigger than Saturday because we aren't used to winning in that way. It's not our trademark.
"That set piece had to be perfect because it didn't feel like our night in terms of clean play and fluid play. I thought we were a bit flat energy wise. We weren't poor trying to give them the upper hand in the game - we were still trying to win - but we got our rewards in the end."
