Exeter City will look to extend their current winning run to three matches when Hartlepool United visit St James Park this Saturday.
Following successive 2-0 victories over Scunthorpe at SJP then away at Walsall, City remain within touching distance of the top seven, with a win over Hartlepool possiby taking them as high as fourth in the table.
The County Durham side are 16th in the table, having drawn 1-1 with Stevenage last weekend. However, they are within one game of Wembley following a midweek Papa John's Trophy victory over Charlton Athletic, succeding on penalties after 2-2 draw. They will undoubedtly come down to Devon still on a high from that result.
Matt Taylor's Thoughts
Pools travel to the South West boosted by a midweek win over Charlton Athletic in the Papa John's Trophy, meaning they're just one game from Wembley, and Taylor expects that to play some part in Saturday's game.
"I watched that on Tuesday and it was a game they deserved to win over 90 minutes, not just on penalties. That shows where they are this season with their fantastic home form, but they'll be looking to improve their away form.
"We have to put in a performance that puts them on the back foot early on and prevents their style of play. It feels like a game where if we can back up our recent performances, we will be in better position than we were at the start of the year.
"This year we've performed well, and we've started to turn them into wins. We've scored at the right time and had a little luck along the way too. There seems to be a really good feeling around the club at the moment."
