Matt Taylor was "really pleased" with his sides performance as the Grecians ran out 2-0 winners against Scunthorpe United.
Speaking after the game, the manager said:
"We were in control of most of the game and as the game progressed, we looked like we could show more quality.
"I'm really pleased with the manner of our performance. In the second half we showed a lot of patience. People would have looked at Scunthorpe's position and though we'd blow them away but that was never going to be the case. We're still building because of the team we put out and I'm happy for that."
On debutant Ozzy Zanzala, who found the net, the gaffer was full of praise.
"He added the physicality up front. Since the start of December, we've missed Sam Nombe's presence. He's honest and eager to work hard and will take confidence from his goal."
