Matt Taylor says Exeter City were "at their best" as they cruised to a 2-0 victory against Walsall.
Speaking after the game, the manager heaped praise on his players.
"My biggest pleasing aspect of the game was when we were playing against the eleven men, before the man got sent off.
"Cheick Diabate is an academy product playing well with a goal to his name. It's incredible really. their goalkeeper was man-of-the-match by some margin today. the timings of the goals were important moments in both halves and now we've shown our threat from set pieces."
Exeter City are saddened to hear the passing of Sam Richardson and the manager has paid his respects.
"That win was certainly for him. It's obviously difficult. We know his family and friends have been through a lot this week and they honoured in the right way tonight, with the applause in the 29th minute. I'm glad we were able to stop the game because I believe thats a fair reflection of how we are as a football club."
