Alfie Pond has admitted the U23's have not quite hit the rhythm so far, but is confident in picking up more points in the Premier League Cup.
Ahead of Friday afternoon's trip to Swansea City, the 17-year-old defender said:
"We haven't picked up as many points as we would have liked up until this point but the performances have not been too far from where we would like.
"I think it's a case of attacking the next three games and hoping we pick up as many points as we can."
Alfie is currently on loan at Tiverton Town, alongside fellow City academy starlet Nelson Iseguan and has been enjoying his time at Ladysmead.
Due to the PL Cup being a youth tournament, Alfie and Nelson are both eligible for the competition.
"This is the second time I've been on loan at Tiverton and if I'm honest the first spell I was disappointed with myself. But I've worked hard and gone back and put it right! I'm very happy to be there until the end of the season."
