This month’s BIG winner of a close season cool £1,000 in our latest Foundation draw is Michael Mills.
Long time supporter Michael has an interesting Exeter City story to tell:
"I started watching City from around the early 1950s with my father who had supported the Grecians from about 1920 until 2006. Back in the 50s – who remembers ‘2p On the Ball’, the fore-runner of the 50/50 draw?? Well, I actually won the match ball – and promptly broke our kitchen window with it!
"I have of course witnessed many memorable City matches, however the game at Torquay United back in May 2008 in the play-off semi-final 2nd leg is hard to beat. As for favourite players, at my age you tend to look way back in time so here’s a few who have entertained us over the years; Arnold Mitchell, Fred Davey, Keith Harvey, Hugh Kelly, Ted Calland, Angus McKay etc followed a little later with Alan Banks, Tony Kellow, Kevin Miller, Shaun Taylor and Steve Neville etc and many more.
"I will put my winnings to our trip to Oslo where I severed in the RAF 50 years ago, to show our daughter who was born there where life started for her.”
