Matt Taylor has given his assessment as Exeter City opened life in League One with a 1-1 draw at Lincoln City.
Sam Nombe's first half goal was cancelled out by Tom Hopper in the second period, and Matt believes it was a game of two halves.
"I've got mixed emotions. I'm really pleased with our first half performance, but we lost a little bit of control in the second half," he said.
"We have to give the opposition credit, they improved in the second half, and we weren't able to get a foothold in the game as the game went on.
"The goal we conceded was poor - that was too simple for the opposition - but stood here, as it starts to sink in, I'll be really pleased with what we did today."
