Exeter City manager Matt Taylor has given his verdict as City recorded a 2-1 pre-season victory over Taunton Town on Friday night.
A pair of goals from Tim Dieng secured the win for the Grecians and Matt saw it as another good workout for his side ahead of July 30's League One opener against Lincoln City.
"It's been a good physical week, we were a bit disjointed in both halves with three or four players on each starting team who won't be part of the plans this season and no disrespect to them, but through youth level or going out on loan and it broke down a bit too often.
"We stood up to the physical aspect of the game which I am pleased with and a little bit of quality from the Frenchman (Tim Dieng) won us the game."
