We were so pleased to have club photographers PPA UK by our side on our journey to League One.
Just like the players and the supporters, they've travelled the length and breadth of the country snapping every moment of our seasons for over ten years, so we're taking a month-by-month look at last season's promotion winning campaign through their lens.
Starting with August, we've selected four photos from each month as we break down the season that was.
To begin, we've chosen three images from City's 4-1 win ovr Bristol Rovers at St James Park as the Grecians picked up their first three points, and scored their first goals, of what would become an incredible season.
Exeter City players celebrate Matt Jay's 3rd minute strike, which is the Grecians' first goal of the Sky Bet League Two season.
Soon after, it's 2-0 and it's Matt Jay again as City strike a second goal after just 15 minutes.
Tim Dieng makes it 3-0 after just 22 minutes as City threaten to run rampage against the Gas, who do manage to pull a goal back in the second half in an eventual 4-1 loss.
The following week, the Grecians travelled to Harrogate Town and were on the backfoot at half time, having seen Harry Kite sent off for giving away a penalty, though replays showed it was outside the box.
Deep into the second half, Josh Key stepped up to rattle in an equaliser on a gorgeous summer day as City snatched a late point.
