Matt Taylor praised the 'bright and energetic' display from his player as City cruised to victory over Swindon Town on Tuesday night.
Chatting after the game, the manager said:
"The first goal is absolutely key at this level. As the game went through a difficult period we started to pin the opposition back a little bit and grew in confidence.
"We share the goals around and we talk about in-form players. MJ's got two-in-two, Jevani's in good goalscoring form and we know all too well if they stay in form we have a better chance."
5,958 fans were in SJP tonight and Matt reiterated the importance of the fans between now and the end of the season.
"You could sense there was a big atmosphere around the ground and there weren't that many empty seats. I'll be asking the home fans to come in their numbers again on Saturday in great voice. It's a great reflection of the club. The connection this group of players has with the fans will keep on growing and growing, the more we win games and the more we score goals."
