📝 Match Preview: Port Vale (A)

The Grecians are on the road again this Tuesday as we take on Port Vale at Vale Park, looking to further cement their place inside the automatic promotion places.

City were victorious at the weekend, securing a 2-0 win at Oldham thanks to goals from Kyle Taylor and Jevani Brown and sat in second place at the end of play following other results, but the side will be without midfield trio Taylor, Tim Dieng and Nigel Atangana through injury or suspension.

Port Vale recorded a solid victory at the weekend too, winning 2-1 away to Bradford City thanks to goals from Ben Garrity and James Wilson. The Valiants have been in fine form in recent weeks, winning their last three home matches by an aggregate score of 9-2, including three points against fellow promotion rivals Mansfield Town.

Kit

City will be playing in their anthracite grey and pink away kit.

Kieran Phillips' Thoughts

"There's a great mood in camp at the moment and it's really positive after some good recent results," he said.

"There are 30 points to play for which can make or break the season. The potential is there to do what we want to do. We have to take it with both hands.

"But you can't look too far ahead. It's ten big cup finals but we can't look too much past the next week."
