With a successful season behind them, City Manager's Abbie Britton and Aaron Wakley will now begin their recruitment drive to help the Grecians progress closer to promotion in 2022/2023.
Natalie Warman, Megan Lightfoot and Megan Robinson all departed from the Club at the end of the season. University commitments took understandable priority for Lightfoot and Robinson, with Natalie Warman choosing to take some time away from football.
It also appears that Mia Preston will not be returning, opportunities have been hard to come by and the young forward looks to be heading to a new venture to gain more playing time.
That does leave Britton and Wakley with a very solid group to evolve upon. Abbi Bond, Katie Grigg, Emily Toogood, Jaydee Seaman, Manfy Sharpe, Jess Sandland, Phoebe Baker, Steph Beck, Connie Pengelly, Sarah Stacey, Anthea Kaptein, Zoe Watkins, Kyanna Orchard and Mollie Taylor have all committed for the new campaign.
"We are looking for players that fit our team ethos as much as have the ability, hard work, desire and ambition to play higher." Britton added, with City looking to build a squad to maintain a push for promotion in 2022/2023.
The other departure is that of teenage defender Charley Prouse, who will head to the United States to take up a Scholarship at Pratt Community College in Kansas. That will leave a busy summer, with around five players required to build a squad that will be focussed on achieving big things next season.
