💬 Alex Hartridge post Ipswich

Alex Hartridge was downcast as he spoke on todays disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Ipswich Town, giving Gary Caldwell his first home loss of the season.

“We’re disappointed, we don’t feel we showed our best selves out there today. They are a good team, and we weren’t far off them, but we need to do better, and we know we can perform in this league.

“They were very set up, they had a really good plan against what we wanted to do and in the big moments they stood up and that’s what we didn’t do and that is the difference in this league, that is what we are finding and that’s what we have to do better.

“We managed to work things out and naturally they are going to sit a bit deeper and give us a few chances to play better. We have said a few times this season that we need to start games better, it gave them momentum and we kind of didn’t really start playing until they scored.

“The formation change was a little bit irrelevant, we were just chasing a game, personnel just end up in different positions.

Talking about moving to left back “I’ve become unused to the position, just because I haven’t played it in so long."
