Exeter City's Head of Coaching, Brad-lee Miller said he is proud of his young teams performance after a 4-3 win over Newport County in the FA Youth Cup at St James Park.
City raced into a 4-0 lead with an Ed James goal and George Spencer hat-trick, before Newport County pulled it back to 4-3.
"It was a great night for the Academy," said Brad. "It was a great experience for the boys. They played some fantastic football in the first-half.
"It was a bit chaotic, we were expecitng a frantic start and after we grew into the game we found that calm head and played to the spaces. The boys excuted the first half game plan perfectly."
