📝 Match Preview: Derby County (A)

The Gary Caldwell era at Exeter City begins this Tuesday with a trip to face Derby County at Pride Park.

Following his appointment on Monday, Caldwell will lead the side for the first time against the former Premier League side in what will be the first ever league meeting between the two sides and City's first ever trip to Pride Park.

City head to the East Midlands having bounced back on Saturday against Fleetwood Town in Kevin Nicholson and Jon Hill's last match in interim charge - Nicholson will remain part of the Caldwell's coaching team in the immediate future.

Derby have had an extra day's rest this weekend after they played at Ipswich on Friday night, losing 1-0 at Portman Road.

Tickets

The match is all-ticket, meaning there are no pay on the night sales. Tickets are on sale until 5pm on Monday, October 24 online and at SJP.

Only 200 tickets remain.

Jay Stansfield's Thoughts

Jay Stansfield is excited to take on Derby County in tomorrow night's clash at Pride Park.

Over 1,100 Grecians head to the East Midlands at the start of the Gary Caldwell era looking to build on Saturday's win over Fleetwood, and Stansfield is looking forward to the support.

"The reason the team can go out a perform is because of the fans always singing in the background, it's incredible and they are a real credit to the club," he said.

"To be playing at Derby is a real credit to the team last season, these are the games we want to be playing in, in front of a big crowd in a big stadium.

"We can go there and show what Exeter City are about."
