The Grecians head to the Bolt New Lawn on Tuesday evening in the final group stage match of the Papa Johns Trophy, with the opportunity to progress into the next round.
The Permutations
City kick off 45 minutes ooner than Newport v Southampton, so any final placing will on hold after the final whistle.
- A win by two clear goals would see City through,
- A win would take City through to the next round of the competition, if our goal difference or number of goals scored is better than Newport County.
- A draw and penalty win would take City through, if Newport County lose.
- A draw and penalty defeat would take City through, if Newport County lose.
- If City lose, they are out.
- If the points, goal difference, goals scored and head to head is all level at the end of the group stage, qualifiers are decided via the drawing of lots.
Sonny Cox's Thoughts
Young striker Sonny Cox, fresh from bagging his first professional goal on Saturday, is looking forward to Tuesday's Papa Johns Trophy clash at Forest Green Rovers.
"We're really excited. There'll be a young team tomorrow so it's a good opportunity for everyone to get some minutes," he said.
"I always look forward to every Papa Johns game knowing I have a chance of getting plenty of game time. It's men's football which is a good thing to get used to before really getting into the first team."

We have been given 400 uncovered tickets in the North Stand. Please note that this area is open to the elements so please bring approriate clothing.

Tickets purchased and not collected can be collected at the New Lawn.
Wheelchair access & tickets
The Wheelchair spaces are in the main East Stand and are not located with City supporters. The space is charged at the approraite category with the carer FOC.
