After consecutive 4-2 league defeats, City face the Cod Army for the first time since 2014. Managed by former Celtic and Scotland midfielder Scott Brown, Fleetwood currently sit 15th in the table with 11 goals scored and 11 conceded from 13 games - with ten different scorers. Their last match was a 1-0 home defeat to Shrewsbury Town.

Kevin Nicholson's thoughts

Interim boss Kevin Nicholson has given his thoughts as Exeter City prepare to take on Fleetwood Town at St James Park this Saturday.

Fleetwood visit EX4 for the first time since 2014, and Nicho is expecting a tough contest against a side who have only allowed 11 goals in 14 matches this season.

"It will be a real challenge, Fleetwood are a good footballing side that don't concede many," he said.

"It's important the we get a result, that's all that matters, it doesn't matter what has come before or what comes after.

"Fleetwood are an aggressive side so it'll be a real challenge. The game in the week has given minutes to those who needed it so we're in the best possible position with the players we have available."
