Striker Harry Smith has returned to parent club Leyton Orient, thus ending his loan deal with Exeter City.
Harry joined the club on deadline day but has decided to return to London for personal reasons. He posted the following message on his social media:
"A quick message to say that I have decided to return to Leyton Orient. I have ultimately found it difficult to settle in the area and I’ve decided to put my happiness first and reluctantly cut my loan short.
"I now understand that I can not play any competitive football (in the EFL) until January at the earliest and this was something I was well aware would be the case when I made my decision and for the sake of my happiness this was a small price I was prepared to take.
"I will continue to work hard on the training ground as I have been doing and will put myself in the best possible position I can in January for Leyton Orient if I am needed in anyway. I want to thank Exeter and I wish everyone at the club all the best going forward."
Smith made his debut for the club at Shrewsbury last month and made a total of five appearances. Everyone at the club wishes Harry the very best for the rest of his career and thank him for his efforts.
