Kevin Nicholson has given his reaction to City's late late winner over Fleetwood Town, a game which he has hinted may be his last in charge of the first team.
Sam Nombe's 92nd minute goal won it for the Grecians, following Jay Stansfield's equaliser in the first half, and Nicho has hailed the group.
"It was a well earned and hard earned three points," he said.
"I actually had to go at them at half time for the first time since I've been here, but second half we were much better and got on the front foot. There's no better feeling than a last minute winner in front of that lot.
"It was great having Cheick back. He is a brilliant player and plays like someone who has played hundreds of games. He gives confidence to the rest of the back three.
Discussing the managerial situation at the club, Nicho said: "It's great credit to the club in how patient they've been in taking their time with the process to ensure they get the right man in. I'll be surprised if I'm stood here speaking to you guys next week."
