Exeter City can confirm that defender Cheick Diabate has suffered a stress fracture of the outside of his foot and is likely to miss four to six weeks of action.
Cheick, who had played in all of City's matches so far this season, and scored the winner against MK Dons in City's last match, but misssed Tuesday night's defeat to Shrewsbury Town.
"He had a sore foot for about ten days leading into the game and it's a stress fracture so it probably got to the point where the bone has actually cracked in the MK Dons game.
"A stress fracture on the outside of the foot - the fifth metatarsal isn't ideal and probably four-to-six weeks is best case scenario."
