👏 Pete Godbeer scoops Septembers’s big £1000 Foundation prize

This month’s Exeter City Foundation BIG winner is Pete Godbeer, scooping a cool £1,000, which goes a good way towards some City merchandise and a new tent for camping out with the family next summer.

Pete can be seen in our photo receiving his prize on the pitch at last weekend’s home match against Burton Albion.

Pete has been a Grecian for a good while now and has been a season ticket holder for the last eight years, his favourite supporting moments look like this:

"One of the biggest games I remember from many years ago is when we played Norwich in the FA Cup. I queued up with my Dad and got a spot behind the goal in the old Big Bank. Norwich were a top flight club back then, we went 1-0 up late on, then Norwich equalised straight from the kick off without City touching the ball - and we lost the replay!

"I was also fortunate to see us win the Division 4 Championship and the pitch invasion to celebrate! Some of the more recent games which stick in the memory include the play-off semi-final second leg against Carlisle United when Jack Stacey scored the winner in injury time; there have been a few decent results against Plymouth as well, a good one was when Ollie Watkins scored brace and we won 2-1 in a game we didn’t even look like drawing was a great result and made even sweeter as against Plymouth! Then there was the game against Yeovil 3-0 down after 80 mins and drew 3-3, was amazing, so many good memories!

"My favourite players, there has been a few over the years, Darren Rowbotham, Stevie Neville, Danny Bailey, Liam Sercombe, Dean Moxey to name a few. The current crop of players bring so much expectation and energy but Pierce Sweeney and Jevani Brown have to edge it for me."
