📝 Match Preview: Shrewsbury Town (A)

After an enforced break following the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, EFL action returns this Tuesday with City taking on Shrewsbury Town at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Both sides have had a ten day break between matches, with City picking up a 1-0 win over MK Dons at St James Park last time out, while Shrewsbury recorded a 2-0 victory away at Forest Green.

This will be the first conpetitive meeting between the sides since 2015, though we did meet in a pre-season friendly at St James Park last summer, with the Shropshire outfit winning 2-0 in a behind closed doors friendly at SJP.

Harry Kite's Thoughts

Harry Kite has given his thoughts as the Grecians prepare to take on Shrewsbury Town away from home on Tuesday night.

Following a blanket EFL cancellation for the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, City have had an unexpected weekend off but Kite says the team are raring to go.

"We had a good session on Saturday which has put us in really good stead, we're really excited to get going again tomorrow night.

"Shrewsbury are very good at what they do - they're a very athletic side. We're ready for the challenges they set to us but hopefully we can implement what we want to try and do.

"Every game is a bit of an unknown for us. Every game is a challenge and it's a new task for us to get to work on."
