Ahead of Saturdays first Devon Derby at SJP since 2019, we're rewinding the clock to check out some past encounters between City and Argyle to get you in the mood for Derby Day.
1. Exeter City 4 Plymouth Argyle 0 | 26/10/19
It was Devon Derby delight as City thrashed Plymouth 4-0 at St James Park, thanks to a brace from Nicky Law plus goals from Tom Parkes and Randell Williams - who showcased his infamous backflip celebration.
2. Exeter City 2 Plymouth Argyle 1 |02/04/16
City completed the double over Argyle with a scintillating win on home turf thanks to a late brace from Ollie Watkins. Jamille Matt opened the scoring for Plymouth midway through the second half, but Watkins' 80th minute strike levelled before the same man fired in a thumping effort in stoopage time to seal victory.
3. Plymouth Argyle 1 Exeter City 2 | 21/11/15
Ryan Harley's double denied Argyle a fourth straight win as City won at Home Park. His quickfire double in the first half - one from the penalty spot - sent the Grecians in two up at the break. Oscar Threlkeld pulled on back but City held on for victory.
4. Plymouth Argyle 1 Exeter City 2 | 25/03/14
Eliot Richards and Liam Sercombe both bagged in front of the City fans as the Grecians came from behind to win at Home Park.
5. Exeter City 3 Plymouth Argle 1 | 05/10/13
All the goals came after the interval - Arron Davies opened the scoring before Luke Young pegged back, but Exeter went on to win thanks to goals by Alan Gow and Scot Bennett, with Jimmy Keohane providing the assists.
